Planning for Your Road Trip

The northern part of the country may be facing snow and wet weather but in the south, mild winters mean you may have some options for getting away on the roads after the Christmas season is over. Make sure your mechanic gives your vehicle a thorough overhaul if you are planning a long trip. You should check the pressure and treads on your tires, including your spare and your tire changing equipment. All the electrical components should be tested and you should plan a grease and oil change. It might be a good idea to take a basic first aid kit, spare coolants and possibly some extra oil just in case.
